Everything athletes need for the qualification process.

01 / OFFICIAL DOCUMENT

READ THE
RULEBOOK.

The official rulebook applies throughout the qualification and the competition.

QUALIFICATION ROUTINESMEN & WOMEN

Complete the routine for your division in the exact order shown below.

SAFE OPTION OR RISKY OPTION

Choose only one of the two options for the final exercise. Do not perform both.

The safe option is the more reliable choice. The risky option can usually be completed faster, but it is more demanding or uses a heavier weight. Similar choices will often appear during the competition, so choose the option that suits you best.

UNBROKEN

You may pause and actively rest while remaining on the bar or dip bars, but both hands must stay in contact throughout. You may not let go or release one arm at any point.

02 / TIME PENALTIES

CLEAN REPS.
FAIR RESULTS.

Every no rep identified in the qualification video adds time to the athlete's total qualification time. The standard penalty is 5 seconds, but certain muscle up and pullover faults carry a larger penalty.

STANDARD NO REP+5SECONDS

Added to the athlete's total time for every standard no rep.

MUSCLE UP & PULLOVERPenalty per no rep
Range of motion no rep5 seconds
Chicken wing no rep30 seconds per rep
Too much kip no rep20 seconds per rep
Bent knee no rep20 seconds per rep
Downward movement no rep15 seconds per rep
Why the larger penalties?

The increased penalties prevent athletes from gaining an advantage by completing a very poor rep simply to move through the routine faster. Perform every rep as cleanly as possible.

Female athletes may use more hip drive than male athletes.

03 / VIDEO SUBMISSION

FILM IT
CLEARLY

Your qualification video must make it possible to judge every repetition accurately and fairly.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
  • Your full body must remain visible during every exercise.
  • The video quality must be clear enough to judge your technique and form.
  • Do not place the camera so far away that your repetitions become difficult to see.
  • The entire attempt must be filmed as one continuous video. You may not stop and restart the recording, cut the video or edit it in any way.

Deliberate cheating or manipulation includes speeding up the video, cutting or editing the footage, submitting false footage or otherwise attempting to make the result appear better than the athlete's actual performance.

Any athlete caught deliberately cheating in this way will receive a lifetime ban from all future FlyBarz Cup events.

2ATTEMPTS

TWO CHANCES.
YOUR BEST TIME COUNTS

Every athlete may submit up to two qualification attempts at any time before 5 December 2026. A second attempt is optional. You may submit only one attempt if you are satisfied with it.

01

Submit attempt one

After your first attempt is reviewed, FlyBarz Cup will send you your number of no reps and your final time. Feedback will be sent through Instagram, or by email if you do not have Instagram.

02

Use your feedback

You may use the feedback from attempt one to correct any mistakes before submitting your second and final attempt.

03

Submit attempt two

Your second attempt will not receive feedback. Its no reps and final time will remain confidential until the qualification results are announced.

04

Best attempt counts

The better of your two attempts will count. Once two attempts have been submitted, no further attempts are allowed.

04 / QUALIFICATION RESULTS

YOUR CHANCE
IS NOT OVER.

The 16 highest-ranked men and 8 highest-ranked women will be offered a place in FlyBarz Cup 2027. Every selected athlete must actively accept the offer and pay the athlete fee within the stated deadline before the place is confirmed.

Athletes outside the initial top 16 or top 8 may be placed on the waiting list in qualification order. If a selected athlete declines the offer, misses the payment deadline or later withdraws, the available place may be offered to the next eligible athlete on the waiting list.

Even if you finish outside the initial qualifying positions, you may still have a real opportunity to compete. A place from the waiting list is possible, but cannot be guaranteed.
